Who Can Volunteer

Rescue P.A.W.S is open to anyone passionate about animals. You don’t need previous experience—just enthusiasm and a love for dogs. Requirements: - Must be 18 or older - Must provide proof of rabies vaccination before arrival - Open to volunteers from any background This is a hands-on programme suitable for beginners or those with animal care experience alike.

Your Role

You will actively help care for the dogs and support the Rescue P.A.W.S mission. Typical tasks include: - Feeding and daily care - Beach and lake walks - Cleaning and maintaining kennels - Assisting with health checks, parasite treatments, sterilizations, and vaccinations - Preparing dogs for adoption - Learning about animal behaviour and training techniques Each day varies depending on the dogs’ needs and ongoing projects.

Accommodation & Facilities

Volunteers stay in a traditional Thai-style house with: - Twin and double rooms (may be shared during peak periods) - Hot showers, western toilets, fans, and laundry facilities - Fully equipped kitchen with cutlery, fridge, microwave, stove, kettle, and toaster The house is located just 150 meters from Sai Noi Beach. Private, air-conditioned accommodation is available nearby at your own cost, subject to availability.

Location & Surroundings

The Rescue P.A.W.S clinic and kennels are based on the peaceful grounds of Khao Tao Temple, providing a calm and healing environment for both volunteers and animals. The nearby Thai village offers local restaurants, shops, and beautiful beaches. Hua Hin is easily accessible for exploring, giving you plenty of downtime after volunteering.

You’ll stay in a typical Thai-style house just a short walk (150 meters) from Sai Noi Beach, providing a peaceful and comfortable base after your days making a real difference in the lives of stray dogs. The house includes: • 5 twin rooms and 2 double rooms, allowing couples to stay together and providing shared rooms during peak periods • Hot showers and western-style toilets • Fans and laundry facilities • A fully equipped kitchen with cutlery, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster, and electric stove For those wanting extra comfort, private air-conditioned accommodation is available nearby at your own cost (subject to availability). Thailand brings the heat and the good vibes year-round. November to February is peak season, with cooler, drier days, blue skies, and comfy temps around 25–30°C — perfect for island hopping, temple hopping, and sunset chasing. March to May turns things up a notch with hot, sunny days (30–35°C), ideal for beach lounging and slow, tropical living. June to October is monsoon season, but it’s nothing wild — think warm rain showers that roll in fast, cool things down, and leave everything lush and green. Fewer crowds, epic landscapes, and still plenty of sunshine between showers. No matter when you go, Thailand always delivers.

Getting There

Starts

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) We recommend arriving before 1pm on day 1 so you can meet your local guide in the arrivals hall. They will be wearing Rescue Paws t-shirts and will be holding a sign (You can’t miss them!). If you do not arrive in the selected window, you will be responsible for making your own way to the accommodation. Your local guide will be able to advise on this in the group chat. If you are planning to arrive a day earlier and want to stay near the airport in a hotel at your own cost just let us know and you can come back to the airport for the pickup window.

Ends

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) On the final day, you’ll be transferred back to the airport. We recommend a flight in the late afternoon/evening in case of any delays. IMPORTANT- Please note all flight information must be uploaded at least 8 weeks before your arrival or you will not receive airport pickup.
