About half way along the coast between Than Bok Khoranee and Krabi town is a bay of mangroves that may be the most beautiful bay in Thailand. Spend the morning kayaking among the most breathtaking views looking out for kingfishers, little herons and crab eating macaques. If you’re lucky, you may have a chance to get close to the monkeys as you paddle through the water. After kayaking you will have earned a good meal so we will transfer you to a nearby restaurant where you will be given a feast of Thai food to settle your hunger.

Head to Railay Beach
Railay Beach is a truly special place that’s cut off from the rest of the mainland by a row of steep hills and so it is only accessible by boat. Easily described as a mini jurassic park, this place has it all. White sandy beaches, crystal blue waters, huge limestone cliffs and an incredible cave with wildlife around every corner. Enjoy a couple of hours relaxing, drinking coconuts and exploring this peaceful place. Tonight we recommend heading to Crazy Gringos, a Mexican along the beachfront with tasty food, entertainment where we are sure you will all be up dancing to the macarena!

Weather

Thailand brings the heat and the good vibes year-round. November to February is peak season, with cooler, drier days, blue skies, and comfy temps around 25–30°C — perfect for island hopping, temple hopping, and sunset chasing. March to May turns things up a notch with hot, sunny days (30–35°C), ideal for beach lounging and slow, tropical living. June to October is monsoon season, but it’s nothing wild — think warm rain showers that roll in fast, cool things down, and leave everything lush and green. Fewer crowds, epic landscapes, and still plenty of sunshine between showers. No matter when you go, Thailand always delivers.

Getting There

Starts

Phuket (HKT) We recommend arriving between 9am – 5pm on day 1 so you can meet your local guide in the arrivals hall. They will be holding a sign (You can’t miss them!). If you can, we think arriving earlier rather than later on the start day is better to allow for some down time at the hotel before the orientation and evening activities. If you do not arrive in the selected window, you will be responsible for making your own way to the accommodation. Your local guide will be able to advise on this in the group chat. The evening orientation is usually around 7/8pm so we recommend you don’t land too late. The journey from the airport to the hotel often takes an hour in Thailand’s crazy traffic. If you are planning to arrive a day earlier and want to stay near the airport in a hotel at your own cost just let us know and you can come back to the airport for the pickup window or meet us at the hotel.

Ends

Phuket (HKT) Your trip will finish in Phuket. On the last day we recommend a flight after midday, we have a final night out on Bangla Road so give yourself time to recover and make sure you have time for any onward travel arrangements. Remember you’ll need to check-in at the airport 2-3 hours prior.

FAQ's
Volunteering
You’ll spend a few days taking part in meaningful volunteer activities, including teaching English, supporting community initiatives, and helping at animal sanctuaries such as turtle, dog, and elephant centres. Every project is designed to create a real, positive impact in local communities while giving you an authentic, hands-on experience of Thai life. These experiences are more than just volunteering, you’ll meet locals, learn about their culture, and gain practical skills that you can carry with you beyond the trip. Whether it’s helping children practice English, caring for rescued animals, or assisting with community programs, you’ll leave knowing you made a genuine difference.
Transfers
Airport transfers are included on the start date of your tour. Once your flights are booked, please let us know by adding your arrival details to your portal, so our team can meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. If you do not require a transfer, simply let us know in advance. For travellers arriving earlier than the start date, we can provide advice and support to arrange transport to your accommodation if needed.
Best Time to Visit
Thailand is a year-round destination, with warm temperatures and sunshine to enjoy whenever you visit. The rainy season runs from June to September, but showers are usually short and refreshing, often giving way to beautiful sunshine. The dry season, from October to May, tends to be a little cooler and less humid, perfect for exploring. Whatever time of year you choose, our trips are designed to make the most of the weather so you can enjoy all the adventure, culture, and fun Thailand has to offer.
Money
The local currency in Thailand is the Thai Baht (THB). ATMs are widely available in cities, and cards are accepted in most places, though it’s useful to have some cash for markets and smaller towns. Most of your activities, accommodation, and some meals are included in the trip price. You will mainly need money for extra meals, drinks, souvenirs, optional activities, and any onward travel. We recommend bringing a travel card or using a card with low foreign exchange fees for convenience and security.
Nightlife
Thailand is famous for its nightlife, and there’s something for everyone. From rooftop bars and beach parties to group bar crawls and live music events, you can dance until sunrise or chill with a coconut by the sea. Not a big drinker? No problem. There’s absolutely no pressure to drink on our trips, and plenty of people choose to stay sober or take nights off. Whether you’re there for the music, the atmosphere, or just good company, you’ll always feel comfortable doing things your own way. Your guides will point you to the safest and most social spots, so you can enjoy the night worry-free.
Food
Incredible, expect a mix of authentic local dishes and Western comfort food. Must-tries include: Pad Thai – stir-fried noodles with tamarind, lime & peanuts Green Curry – creamy coconut curry with a spicy kick Mango Sticky Rice – sweet and irresistible Expect a delicious mix of authentic local dishes and Western comfort food throughout your trip. Some meals are included in the price, and you can check the day-by-day itinerary to see exactly what’s provided. Must-tries include Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice. Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of spicy food, there are always milder options and plenty of vegetarian-friendly choices.
Group Leaders
Who are the group leaders? Your group leader is your go-to guide, mentor, and ultimate problem-solver while on tour. They know Thailand inside out, from hidden local spots to the best places to eat, and are there to make sure your trip runs smoothly. Think of them as your travel BFF who’s got your back 24/7. How big are the groups? Groups are kept small and social, usually between 12 and 22 travellers, so it’s easy to bond and make friends for life. You’ll meet people from all over the world, all sharing the same love of adventure and discovery. Can I get in touch with my group or leader before the trip? Yes! Around two weeks before your tour, your group leader will be added to your group WhatsApp. You’ll also be able to connect with your fellow travellers in our private destination-specific community so you can start sharing tips, hype, and travel excitement before you even arrive.
Solo? Couple? Friends?
Most of our travellers are solo, so joining a group tour is a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends along the way. Travelling alone gives you flexibility, the chance to connect with others, and the freedom to follow your own adventure. If you’re coming with a friend or partner, just let us know when you book. We’ll make sure you’re paired together in the same room so you can enjoy the trip side by side.
Pre and Post Tour
If you’re arriving early or staying on after your programme, we can help make the most of your extra time. Extra nights of accommodation before the tour starts can be booked easily through us, just get in touch with our team. Planning to continue your adventure once your trip ends? Our travel experts can offer advice on the best destinations, routes, and experiences to extend your journey, so you can explore confidently and make the most of your time abroad.
Accommodation
On your trip, you’ll stay in comfortable twin-share hotel rooms, paired with another traveller from your tour. Forget hostels, our hand-picked hotels offer privacy, comfort, and a touch of luxury, with air conditioning or fans, reliable WiFi, and many featuring pools, gyms, or chill-out spaces. It’s the perfect base to relax after a day of exploring, making new friends, and living your adventure to the fullest.
Free Time
While our programmes are full of unforgettable experiences, there’s still plenty of time built in to relax, explore, or do your own thing. Whether you want to lounge on a beach, wander through local markets, try out a new cafe, or just take a quiet afternoon for yourself, the choice is yours. Your guides are always happy to share insider tips and recommend hidden gems, so you can make the most of every free moment. Free time is your chance to explore at your own pace, discover local culture, and create memories that are completely your own.
Arrival & Transfers
We provide an airport transfer on the day your trip begins. To make things easy, aim to arrive between 9am and 5pm on the start date. Once you’ve booked your flights, be sure to share your arrival details in the Manage My Booking area so we can coordinate your pick-up. If you’re arriving outside these times, don’t worry, we can help you arrange a private transfer at your own cost. Our team will give you all the details you need to meet your driver and get to your accommodation safely and smoothly. All in-country transport throughout your trip is included, so you can relax and enjoy the journey. We handle transfers between hotels, activity locations, and any pre-arranged excursions, using buses, trains, and boats where needed. Each tour page lists the correct airport to fly into and out of, so you’ll know exactly where to arrive and depart. If you're still unsure, just chat to the team!
Luggage & Packing
Pack light, pack smart, and be ready for anything. Bring versatile clothing for warm days, cooler evenings, and temple visits. A sturdy backpack or suitcase works fine, and you’ll have opportunities to do laundry along the way. Don’t forget essentials like chargers, travel documents, and a good pair of walking shoes for exploring
Flights
Flights are not included in the trip price and will need to be booked separately. We recommend securing your place on the trip before booking flights, as availability and dates can sometimes change and flight prices can fluctuate. Once your place is confirmed, our team is happy to help with advice on the best airports to fly into, typical routes, and timings to ensure your arrival runs smoothly.
Visa & Vaccinations
Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the country you are visiting. For UK citizens travelling to Thailand, you can stay for up to 60 days without a visa as a tourist. Border control may ask for proof of departure within that time, such as a return or onward flight. Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and the country you are visiting. Some destinations, like Thailand, allow certain nationals to enter visa-free for a limited period, while others, such as Indonesia, may require a visa on arrival or in advance. It is your responsibility to check the latest visa and entry requirements before travelling. You can do this via the relevant embassy or consulate website, or reach out to our team for guidance. We also recommend checking with your GP or a travel health clinic for advice on vaccinations and other health precautions for the country you are visiting. Make sure to arrange any required vaccinations well in advance to ensure a smooth start to your trip.
Wildlife & Elephants
Thailand is full of incredible wildlife, but what you see will depend on the regions you visit and the activities on your tour. Expect to encounter elephants, monkeys, tropical birds, and a variety of other native species in national parks, sanctuaries, and rural areas. On certain tours, you may also meet rescued animals such as dogs or have the chance to observe marine life while island hopping. We only work with ethical elephant sanctuaries and trusted animal projects, and our team on the ground continually reviews standards to ensure the highest welfare for the animals. While sightings can’t be guaranteed, every tour includes opportunities to connect with Thailand’s unique flora and fauna in sustainable and responsible ways.
