Let The Adventure Begin!
Thailand, here we come! After all the planning, packing and counting down the days, it's finally time to begin your Ultimate Adventure. Touch down at Bangkok International Airport (BKK) before 5pm and we'll be there waiting to welcome you with an included airport pickup, so you can skip the airport stress and get straight into holiday mode. After checking into the hotel, take a moment to freshen up, meet your new travel family and take in the fact that you're finally in Thailand. Between the heat, the endless stream of tuk-tuks and the buzz of the city, there's no mistaking that you've arrived. This evening, we'll all head out for a welcome dinner before introducing you to the famous atmosphere of Khaosan Road. Expect neon lights, market stalls, street food sizzling on every corner and travellers from all over the world. It's loud, lively and packed with energy, making it the perfect place to dive straight into life in Thailand. The jet lag can wait until tomorrow…

Tuk-Tuks, Temples & A Whole Lot Of Bangkok
If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be surrounded by temples, river boats, food stalls and about a million other things happening at once - today is your lucky day! We'll start by cruising across the Chao Phraya River before visiting the famous Wat Arun, one of Bangkok's most iconic landmarks. From there, we'll wander through colourful flower markets, soak up the sights and sounds of the city and experience Bangkok the way it was meant to be seen - you guessed it, from the back of a tuk-tuk. Bangkok has a way of keeping you on your toes. One minute you’ll be admiring a beautiful temple and the next you’ll be weaving through bustling streets. It's chaotic in the best possible way, and that's exactly what makes it so unforgettable. This evening is yours to enjoy with the group. Head to the famous Jodd Fairs Market, grab dinner at one of the city's countless food stalls or find a rooftop bar overlooking the Bangkok skyline. You can make plans for this evening, but Bangkok has a habit of changing them.

Waterfalls By Day, Karaoke By Night
Grab your swimwear and your sense of adventure, because today we're heading to one of Thailand's most beautiful natural wonders - Erawan Falls! We'll spend the morning exploring the famous seven-tiered waterfall, making our way through lush jungle scenery, turquoise pools and plenty of incredible viewpoints along the way. Feeling brave? Take a refreshing dip beneath the falls or cool off in one of the natural pools. By the time you reach the top, you'll have definitely earned that swim - trust us! After a few hours of waterfall hopping, we'll jump back into our transfers and continue our journey to Kanchanaburi. Along the way, we'll stop at the famous Bridge Over the River Kwai, where you'll learn more about its fascinating history and have plenty of time to take in the views before inevitably filling your camera roll. This evening, we'll check into our new hotel before heading out to explore the local night market. Then it's time for a night at Sugar Member Bar, where karaoke, games and plenty of laughs are on the agenda. Whether you're ready to take centre stage or planning to keep your singing talents a secret, tonight should be a memorable one!

Some days need a big introduction. This isn't one of them. Today is Elephant Day. This morning, we'll visit an ethical elephant sanctuary and spend time with some of Thailand's most famous residents. You'll learn about each elephant's individual story, discover the incredible work the sanctuary does to protect and care for them, and watch these gentle giants enjoy life in a peaceful, natural environment. It's a truly unforgettable experience. This afternoon, it's time to continue our journey south. Tonight, we'll board the overnight train to Surat Thani and embrace one of Southeast Asia's classic backpacker experiences. Grab some snacks, claim your bunk and settle in for the journey.

Khao Sok
Life On The Lake
Yesterday, your hotel had wheels. Today, it floats. After arriving in Surat Thani at sunrise, we'll head towards the incredible Khao Sok National Park, home to towering limestone cliffs, emerald waters and some of the oldest rainforest in the world. From here, we'll hop aboard a traditional longtail boat and cruise across the lake, passing dramatic rock formations and jungle-covered peaks along the way. It won't take long to understand why this place feels a world away from the busy streets of Bangkok. Our home for tonight is a floating bamboo bungalow right in the middle of the lake. Quite the upgrade from last night's train! Spend the afternoon swimming, relaxing on your floating deck or simply taking in the views. No traffic, no schedules and no reason to check what time it is. Later, we'll enjoy dinner by the water before watching the sun set over the lake. Tomorrow can wait.

The Jungle Chapter
After waking up to lake views and the sounds of the rainforest, it's time to enjoy one final morning on the water. Spend the morning making the most of life on the lake. Go for a kayak around the floating bungalows, grab a coffee overlooking the water or simply sit back and enjoy the views before breakfast. Later, we'll hop back on the boat and make our way towards mainland Khao Sok, where a completely different side of the rainforest awaits. After checking into our jungle hotel, don't be surprised if you spot a monkey or two around the grounds. Let's just say the local residents aren't exactly shy. The afternoon is yours to relax, grab a sunbed by the pool and enjoy a slower pace of life surrounded by nature. Then, as the sun starts to set, we'll get the games out, grab a few cocktails and enjoy another fun night with your fellow adventurers.

Weather

If you're chasing sunshine, you're in the right place! November to February is Thailand's peak season and generally the coolest and driest time to visit, with blue skies, sunny days and temperatures of around 25-30°C. It's perfect for island hopping, beach days and exploring without getting too hot. March to May is when things really heat up, with temperatures often reaching 30-35°C. Expect plenty of sunshine, warm evenings and lots of opportunities to cool off in the sea, a swimming pool or with a fresh coconut in hand. June to October brings the rainy season, but don't let that put you off. Showers are usually short and sharp rather than all-day downpours, and they often clear just as quickly as they arrive. You'll also find fewer crowds, lush green landscapes and some pretty spectacular sunsets. Pack light, bring your sunglasses and prepare to spend a lot of time wondering why you don't live somewhere this warm.

Getting There

Starts

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) Touch down in Bangkok, grab your bags and get ready - your Thailand adventure is about to begin. We recommend arriving between 9am and 5pm on Day 1, where your local guide will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a sign ready to welcome you to Thailand. Arriving during this window means you'll be able to take advantage of the included airport pickup, settle into the hotel, meet the group and join the welcome orientation before the evening activities begin. Arriving outside of the pickup window? No problem. You'll just need to make your own way to the hotel, and your local guide will be happy to point you in the right direction in the group chat. If you're planning to arrive a day early, just let us know. You're welcome to book your own accommodation near the airport and return the following day to join the group pickup.

Ends

All good things must come to an end, and your adventure will finish in Phuket. We recommend departing from Phuket International Airport (HKT). When booking your flights, you can either fly into Bangkok and home from Phuket, or book a return flight from Bangkok and add a short domestic flight back at the end of the trip. Internal flights in Thailand are often surprisingly affordable, so it's worth comparing both options before you book. One thing to keep in mind: Bangkok has two airports, so be sure to double-check you're flying from the right one if booking an internal connection. We recommend booking a departure flight after midday on the final day. After one last night out on Bangla Road with your new travel family, you'll probably appreciate a slightly slower start to the morning! Don't forget to allow 2-3 hours for airport check-in before your flight.

FAQ's
Best Time to Visit
Thailand is a year-round destination, with warm temperatures and sunshine to enjoy whenever you visit. The rainy season runs from June to September, but showers are usually short and refreshing, often giving way to beautiful sunshine. The dry season, from October to May, tends to be a little cooler and less humid, perfect for exploring. Whatever time of year you choose, our trips are designed to make the most of the weather so you can enjoy all the adventure, culture, and fun Thailand has to offer.
Money
The local currency in Thailand is the Thai Baht (THB). ATMs are widely available in cities, and cards are accepted in most places, though it’s useful to have some cash for markets and smaller towns. Most of your activities, accommodation, and some meals are included in the trip price. You will mainly need money for extra meals, drinks, souvenirs, optional activities, and any onward travel. We recommend bringing a travel card or using a card with low foreign exchange fees for convenience and security.
Nightlife
Thailand is famous for its nightlife, and there’s something for everyone. From rooftop bars and beach parties to group bar crawls and live music events, you can dance until sunrise or chill with a coconut by the sea. Not a big drinker? No problem. There’s absolutely no pressure to drink on our trips, and plenty of people choose to stay sober or take nights off. Whether you’re there for the music, the atmosphere, or just good company, you’ll always feel comfortable doing things your own way. Your guides will point you to the safest and most social spots, so you can enjoy the night worry-free.
Food
Incredible, expect a mix of authentic local dishes and Western comfort food. Must-tries include: Pad Thai – stir-fried noodles with tamarind, lime & peanuts Green Curry – creamy coconut curry with a spicy kick Mango Sticky Rice – sweet and irresistible Expect a delicious mix of authentic local dishes and Western comfort food throughout your trip. Some meals are included in the price, and you can check the day-by-day itinerary to see exactly what’s provided. Must-tries include Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice. Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of spicy food, there are always milder options and plenty of vegetarian-friendly choices.
Group Leaders
Who are the group leaders? Your group leader is your go-to guide, mentor, and ultimate problem-solver while on tour. They know everything from hidden local spots to the best places to eat, and are there to make sure your trip runs smoothly. Think of them as your travel BFF who’s got your back 24/7. How big are the groups? Groups are kept small and social, usually between 12 and 22 travellers, so it’s easy to bond and make friends for life. You’ll meet people from all over the world, all sharing the same love of adventure and discovery. Can I get in touch with my group or leader before the trip? Yes! Around two weeks before your tour, your group leader will be added to your group WhatsApp. You’ll also be able to connect with your fellow travellers in our private destination-specific community so you can start sharing tips, hype, and travel excitement before you even arrive.
Solo? Couple? Friends?
Most of our travellers are solo, so joining a group tour is a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends along the way. Travelling alone gives you flexibility, the chance to connect with others, and the freedom to follow your own adventure. If you’re coming with a friend or partner, just let us know when you book. We’ll make sure you’re paired together in the same room so you can enjoy the trip side by side.
Pre and Post Tour
If you’re arriving early or staying on after your programme, we can help make the most of your extra time. Extra nights of accommodation before the tour starts can be booked easily through us, just get in touch with our team. Planning to continue your adventure once your trip ends? Our travel experts can offer advice on the best destinations, routes, and experiences to extend your journey, so you can explore confidently and make the most of your time abroad.
Accommodation
On your trip, you’ll stay in comfortable twin-share hotel rooms, paired with another traveller from your tour. Forget hostels, our hand-picked hotels offer privacy, comfort, and a touch of luxury, with air conditioning or fans, reliable WiFi, and many featuring pools, gyms, or chill-out spaces. It’s the perfect base to relax after a day of exploring, making new friends, and living your adventure to the fullest.
Free Time
While our programmes are full of unforgettable experiences, there’s still plenty of time built in to relax, explore, or do your own thing. Whether you want to lounge on a beach, wander through local markets, try out a new cafe, or just take a quiet afternoon for yourself, the choice is yours. Your guides are always happy to share insider tips and recommend hidden gems, so you can make the most of every free moment. Free time is your chance to explore at your own pace, discover local culture, and create memories that are completely your own.
Arrival & Transfers
We provide an airport transfer on the day your trip begins. To make things easy, aim to arrive between 9am and 5pm on the start date. Once you’ve booked your flights, be sure to share your arrival details in the Manage My Booking area so we can coordinate your pick-up. If you’re arriving outside these times, don’t worry, we can help you arrange a private transfer at your own cost. Our team will give you all the details you need to meet your driver and get to your accommodation safely and smoothly. All in-country transport throughout your trip is included, so you can relax and enjoy the journey. We handle transfers between hotels, activity locations, and any pre-arranged excursions, using buses, trains, and boats where needed. Each tour page lists the correct airport to fly into and out of, so you’ll know exactly where to arrive and depart. If you're still unsure, just chat to the team!
Luggage & Packing
Pack light, pack smart, and be ready for anything. Bring versatile clothing for warm days, cooler evenings, and temple visits. A sturdy backpack or suitcase works fine, and you’ll have opportunities to do laundry along the way. Don’t forget essentials like chargers, travel documents, and a good pair of walking shoes for exploring
Flights
Flights are not included in the trip price and will need to be booked separately. We recommend securing your place on the trip before booking flights, as availability and dates can sometimes change and flight prices can fluctuate. Once your place is confirmed, our team is happy to help with advice on the best airports to fly into, typical routes, and timings to ensure your arrival runs smoothly.
Visa & Vaccinations
Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and the country you are visiting. Some destinations allow certain nationals to enter visa-free for a limited period, while others may require a visa on arrival or in advance. It is your responsibility to check the latest visa and entry requirements before travelling. You can do this via the relevant embassy or consulate website, or reach out to our team for guidance. We also recommend checking with your GP or a travel health clinic for advice on vaccinations and other health precautions for the country you are visiting. Make sure to arrange any required vaccinations well in advance to ensure a smooth start to your trip.
Wildlife & Elephants
Thailand is full of incredible wildlife, but what you see will depend on the regions you visit and the activities on your tour. Expect to encounter elephants, monkeys, tropical birds, and a variety of other native species in national parks, sanctuaries, and rural areas. On certain tours, you may also meet rescued animals such as dogs or have the chance to observe marine life while island hopping. We only work with ethical elephant sanctuaries and trusted animal projects, and our team on the ground continually reviews standards to ensure the highest welfare for the animals. While sightings can’t be guaranteed, every tour includes opportunities to connect with Thailand’s unique flora and fauna in sustainable and responsible ways.
